Our ebus service is continuing for the foreseeable future, as there is sufficient community support, and we are seeking more community involvement. The research project lead by La Trobe University is concluding, but our Sandy Point eBus service has been a success and will continue.
Pilot Project Survey
La Trobe University: "After two years, the Gippsland Community e-Bus Pilot Project with La Trobe University is coming to an end on 30 November.
On behalf of the project team at La Trobe and Sandy Point Bus Management Committee, we want to thank the community of South Gippsland, and particularly Sandy Point, for getting involved with this project and supporting this initiative.
We have a request for ALL residents, permanent / part time and visitors… Please fill in this survey to share your experience of the e-Bus service provided by the team of volunteers at Sandy Point. Even if you have not used it, or were completely unaware of it until today, please complete the survey as it will form an important part of the trial period report."

Our Booking Managers are volunteers who will endeavour to respond within 24 hours.
Passenger Donation Estimator
This is a community run, and community funded transport service.
Please use this cost estimator to guide you to a donation amount.
Enter your trip details and it will show how much it costs us to provide this service for you.
The calculation is based on our per kilometre running costs, and administration costs. Our drivers and admin officers are volunteers. However, we rely on passenger donations to cover charging, registering, insuring, servicing, repairing and ultimately replacing our electric bus.
Offering a donation in excess of our basic operational costs would be greatly appreciated. It would help us to significantly improve the service we currently offer.
